Young Adults

At Sojourn, we value young adults, and we believe that they can make a tremendous impact on the world for Jesus. If you come on Sundays, you'll notice quite a few of the people are in their 20's & 30's. We desire to see this generation of young adults love Jesus and take the Gospel to the ends of the earth. There are two main ways that Sojourn reaches young adults in the area.

One of those ways is through reaching the campus at Lamar University here in Beaumont. We believe that college students are seeking to find their purpose in life, and the only way that they will find that is through faith in Jesus. Additionally, college students are the most mobile age group of adults, and have the opportunity to take the Gospel wherever, and whenever the Lord leads them. Each Tuesday during the school year, Sojourn gives out free coffee and sweet treats to students on campus, and prays with/for students. Additionally, this spring semester, we will be offering a joint monthly worship service in partnership with other college ministries called Unite Lamar. Stay tuned for more details regarding that!

The second way Sojourn is reaching young adults around us is through our young professionals, or "inbetweeners" group. This group is comprised of singles, newlyweds, and young married couples with or without kids. They routinely meet for dinner, game nights, weekend trips, and more! Any young adult can join the group, no matter where they are at in their new careers.
