The primary way we reach our community is through our engagement with the students of Lamar University. We are committed to reaching the campus of Lamar with the message of the gospel. We have a variety of opportunities for students to get involved in our on campus presence
Connection Groups are designed specifically for college students and are led by college students. If you are interested in connecting with other students, this is the best place to start.
Midweek is our weekly worship gathering designed primarily for college students and young adults. Midweek gathers on campus at Lamar University every Thursday at 8:00 PM. Midweek is held inside the Maes Building in Room #106.
Freshman Adventure Time
Freshman Adventure Time is a new, biweekly event we are introducing this semester. Every other Wednesday, at 7 pm, a few students currently involved with Midweek will embark on an adventure with the new freshmen. The first Freshman Adventure Time outing will take place on Wednesday, August 28th.
Rec Night: Rec Night is a lock-in type experience held each month. Rec Night is all about having fun together and usually involves games like Dodgeball, Underground Church, and Sardines. (First one is Friday, August 30)
Next rec night: August 30
Adopt-a-Freshman is an opportunity for us to minister to students who live “away” from their families and a great way to better connect them with our church. We also have local students that want to participate. The Adopt-A-Freshman program gives these students a point of connection with our church and sense of belonging to our church.
College is typically one of the most pivotal periods in a young person’s life. Adopt-A-Freshman gives you the opportunity to walk with them through one of the most exciting yet difficult times in their lives.

Passion is more than a conference. It exists to see a generation leverage their lives for what matters most. You can find out more about what Passion is all about by clicking here. If you're interested in going with us, just fill out the form and we will be in touch.
Serve teams give you the opportunity to help our ministry in a number of ways. You can be a part of our communications team, help with set-up and tear-down for Midweek, greet at Midweek, or just be extra hands at our events. If you are interested in being more involved with this ministry through serve teams, please fill out this form or email Donna Fleming.
